Security Officer - RCMP

We are currently recruiting for Full Time to Part Time (depending on site availability) professional security officers to work at a high profile RCMP site in Chilliwack. Fulltime staff are required to work 4 on 4 off, days,afternoon and graveyard shifts. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about the security industry and eager to gain experience working directly with the RCMP.

Payrate: $22.45/hr

• Demonstrated interest and experience in serving the public/working with law enforcement
• Positive and professional attitude, with strong customer service skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, and equipment such as faxes and photocopiers
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner
• Strong multi-tasking, prioritizing, and organizational skills
• Physically fit and assertive, including the ability to conduct extensive foot patrols
• Fluent English written, verbal and reading skills

Some of your responsibilities include:

• Performing exterior patrols
• Maintaining official visitor logs, count sheets, sign-in/out sheets
• Writing clear and concise daily logs and reports of all incidents
• Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations
• Provide first aid in a prompt, accessible, and appropriate manner
• Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of site duties and safety standards

Your Must – Haves …

• Valid BC Security Licence
• Lived in Canada for minimum 5 years for clearance purposes and be a Canadian Citizen or have a valid PR
• OFA 1 or willing to obtain
• Class 5 Drivers Licence
