Responsibilities- Building hydraulic cylinders
- Checking cylinders comply with specifications
- General engineering assembly and fitting
- Fault finding and repair
- Pressure testing
- 4‑day working week (Mon‑Thu 07:00‑17:00)
- Overtime available (agreed in advance)
- Christmas and bank holiday shutdowns plus nearly 5 weeks flexible holidays
- Additional holiday pay based on average overtime worked
- Wage dependent upon experience
- Previous mechanical fitting experience required
- Experience working in an engineering environment
- Ability to use various types of measuring equipment
- Ability to understand and read engineering drawings
- Experience using hand tools
- A hands‑on methodical worker with high standards
- Some previous experience with hydraulics preferred but not essential
- Must be able to work to tight deadlines and high targets due to the fast‑paced nature of the role
- Maintain good housekeeping
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and rules
- Wage dependent upon experience
Working in an engineering environment: 5 years
Hours of WorkMonday to Thursday 07:00 to 17:00
