We are seeking applications from individuals keen to take up a career within one of Europe’s leading food processing companies – Dunbia UK, part of the Dawn Group. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well‑established team, dedicated to producing better food naturally, working as a Night cleaner.
General Duties- Ensuring hygiene targets are met within deadlines, without compromising product safety, legality, integrity, quality, or control of costs.
- Ensuring good housekeeping is maintained.
- Ensuring that hygiene and other company policies are adhered to at all times.
- Working within the Company Mission, Vision & Values.
- Prepare designated production areas for pressure washing, ensuring that all electrical supplies to machinery and electronic devices are switched off.
- Ensure all water‑sensitive equipment is covered and sealed prior to cleaning, to prevent water damage.
- Remove all loose debris from all surfaces, ensuring all waste is segregated properly into four waste categories/containers (General waste, cardboard waste, plastic waste, meat/organic waste).
- Dismantle appropriate parts of the machinery to allow cleaning/pressure washing to reach areas of difficult access.
- Pressure wash all machinery and all surfaces within the designated areas (including external areas).
- Inform direct superiors when pressure washing is finished to allow pre‑chemical checks to be conducted.
- Apply cleaning chemicals on all machinery and all surfaces as appropriate.
- Ensure that all cleaning chemicals are rinsed off thoroughly.
- Conduct hand cleaning of all water/pressure washing sensitive production machinery.
- Inform direct superior when the whole cleaning process is finished to allow final inspections to be carried out before leaving site.
- Re‑clean any areas found not satisfactory at the final inspection.
- Replenish all dispensers (soap, sanitising gel, paper towels, bin bags) at the hygiene points within the designated areas.
- Conduct deep cleaning as required.
- Complete and sign off all relevant documentation (cleaning schedules, cleaning diary, Cleaning Instruction Cards (CIC) etc.).
- General dry and wet cleaning of the amenities, as and when required.
- Ensure Hygiene SOPs are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure that good hygiene practices and other Company policies are adhered to at all times.
- Have excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
- Have experience and knowledge of cleaning.
- Have well‑developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be highly motivated.
- Be able to work as part of a team as well as on one’s own initiative.
- Have a keen eye for quality and high attention to detail.
- Be committed to working within the Company Mission, Vision & Values.
