The Role
Provide domestic service to patients, staff and visitors of NHS Lanarkshire premises through effective and efficient methods that deliver a safe and welcoming environment and meet required NHS Lanarkshire and Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) standards. Work alongside and support new staff in the working environment.

Whatwe’ll need you to bring
- Knowledge of cleaning standards and related procedures
- Required to undertake on the job training and induction (4‑6 weeks, depending on hours/days worked) to achieve full competency across a range of duties
- Working knowledge Health & Safety including participation in risk assessing individual task
- Required to undertake Prevention, Assessment & Management of Violence & Aggression (PaMOVA) training level 1 and level 2, if identified following risk assessment
- Working knowledge of basic information technology
- Undertake NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training
- Undertake mandatory Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) standards
- Undertake and complete NHSS Domestic Services Workbook
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively and efficiently in a busy environment
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have- Recognised SVQ or equivalent relevant qualification
- Experience working within a domestic services/cleaning environment
- Knowledge of systems and processes eg HAI;
Manual Handling;
Management of Aggression;
Infection Control; COSHH;
Fire Safety - Use of range of electrical cleaning equipment

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Location and Working PatternThis role will be based in Domestic Services within Coathill Hospital.
Working pattern for this role -
14.8 hours Monday
-Thursday 16.00pm
-19.00pm and Fri 16.00pm - 18.48pm
