Accountant – Public SME in manufacturing - South-Shore

Responsibilities:

• Assist Controller with financial planning, reporting, and US GAAP compliance.
• Prepare financial statements and manage plant accounting functions (costing, payroll, A/P, A/R).
• Oversee accounting, audit, and tax activities for global locations (Canada, France, Switzerland).
• Support departments with purchasing, inventory, costing, and budgeting.
• Analyze variances and provide recommendations to management.
• Assist with audits, internal controls, and asset management.
• Ensure accurate inventory and material flow in manufacturing.
• Help with budgeting, forecasts, and month-end closing.
• Provide flash reports, consolidation, and foreign currency translation.
• Lead and support the accounting team for productivity and accountability.

Qualifications:

• Fluent in French and English.
• Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, CPA preferred.
• Strong process adherence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Skilled in building partnerships and leading projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
