Position Title
Financial Associate
Primary Responsibilities
o Collect and validate general ledgers, invoices, payroll journals, contracts, and other accounting and
financial records from clients
o Prepare accurate cost reports using existing Microsoft Excel automated templates.
o Review and validate cost reports prepared by other team members to ensure correctness and
consistency
o Prepare tax credit and grant forms
o Review tax credit filings prepared by accountants for accuracy and consistency
o Prepare tax credit audit documents as requested by tax authorities
o Assist management with collecting government grant information and creating financial reports using
Microsoft Excel
o Proofread documents prepared by other team members
Qualifications
o Minimum of 2-year work experience in a similar business management position
o Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills with an ability to solicit the right
information from clients
o Excellent attention to details and the ability to spot inconsistencies and inaccuracies
o High Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
o Quick learner – ability to understand the business process planning, implementation, and tracking
o Good organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time, occasionally
with strict deadlines
o Outgoing, positive, proactive, and self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently
o Ability to provide feedback to the rest of the organization

o Business writing skills

Experience with consulting services type of business
o Eager to learn new skills and competencies and build a career in Accounting, Financial Analysis, and
Business Management
o Knowledge of French language
o Knowledge of social media platforms and business networking sites like Linked In and Twitter
