Immediate About the Client Our client is a well-established international organisation with a strong presence across global markets. They are seeking an experienced and technically strong Financial Accountant to join their finance team on an interim basis to support core accounting activities and upcoming audit requirements.

Role Overview This is a hands-on, technically demanding Financial Accountant role working closely with the wider finance function and key stakeholders. The successful candidate will contribute to month-end close activities, assist with audit preparation and execution, and support accurate financial reporting in line with applicable accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities Lead and perform accounting tasks ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. Prepare and review key balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Assist with the planning and execution of external and internal audits, including preparing audit packs and responding to auditor queries. Ensure compliance with internal policies, group accounting standards, and statutory requirements.

Provide technical accounting support and guidance on complex accounting issues. Identify improvements in accounting processes and controls. Work collaboratively with internal teams to drive successful outcomes. Candidate Requirements Essential:
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Strong technical accounting knowledge (e.g., IFRS / UK-GAAP). Proven experience in a Financial Accountant role, preferably within a multinational environment. Audit experience, including direct involvement in audit cycles and liaising with auditors. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Flexible, adaptable, and capable of working independently.

Desirable:
Prior experience working on interim/contract assignments. ERP or finance system experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics).
