A specialist engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Engineering Geologist to join their team in Colchester. This role is suitable for a hands‑on professional with experience in site investigations, geological assessments, and interpretative reporting, who is commutable to Colchester.

As an Engineering Geologist, you will work alongside a skilled team of engineers and geologists on a range of infrastructure, development, and environmental projects. You will be responsible for assessing ground conditions, interpreting geological data, and producing clear, high‑quality reports. The role offers practical involvement in projects and the opportunity to contribute technical expertise.

• Conduct site investigations, including logging soils and rock, and sample collection
• Analyse geological and geotechnical data and produce interpretative reports
• Support risk assessments and provide technical input for engineering projects
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams
• Contribute to design recommendations and practical solutions

• Degree in geology, engineering geology, or a related discipline
• Experience in engineering geology or geotechnical site investigations
• Strong report writing and data interpretation skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to commute to Colchester
