Health Care Assistant

Location: Essex (Primarily Colchester)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Job Type: Permanent & Temporary Positions Available
Salary: £25000 to £27000 per annum or £15 to £18 per hour

We are recruiting Healthcare Assistants, Home Care Workers, and Live-in Carers to support individuals in their own homes across Colchester and surrounding areas in Essex.

This role is ideal for carers with home care or supported living experience who are passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care within the community.

About the Role

You will be providing care and support to service users in their own homes, including:

• Personal care and daily living support
• Medication prompts and assistance (where trained)
• Companionship and emotional support
• Supporting independence and dignity
• Accurate record keeping and reporting

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in home care, domiciliary care, or supported living preferred
• Caring, reliable, and professional attitude
• Ability to work flexible shifts
• Drivers preferred due to community-based roles (not essential)
• Unrestricted right to work in the UK

Training & Compliance Support

• DBS support provided
• Care Certificate training available, including:
  • Practical Manual Handling
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Training and checks are offered at a reasonable cost, with guidance throughout the process
