Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:30 - 19:00 (40 hours per week)

Prime Appointments are recruiting a Waste Operative to join a modern, large-scale waste processing facility in Essex. The site is a state-of-the-art operation designed to process high volumes of residual waste while generating energy for thousands of homes.

This role forms part of the Waste Operations Team and is responsible for supporting day-to-day waste receipt and residue processing activities, ensuring operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with site procedures.

• Work flexibly across waste operations to support efficient and compliant processing activities.

• Coordinate waste reception and residue disposal processes within the facility.

• Maintain waste reception and residue areas in a clean, safe, and tidy condition at all times.

• Process waste deliveries and residue dispatches in line with site requirements and schedules.

• Support Production and Maintenance teams during operational and maintenance activities.

• Operate across different areas of the site in line with shift rotas, providing additional support during periods of increased activity or operational disruption.

• GCSE level education.

• Experience in logistics, waste management, manufacturing and production, agricultural, warehouse, or construction environments preferred (relevant experience accepted in lieu of formal qualifications).

• Strong communication skills.

• Experience operating mobile plant such as forklifts, telehandlers, front loaders is highly desirable.

• Plant or machinery licences are advantageous but not essential; training can be provided.

• IT literate.

• Must have own transport due to site location and limited public transport.

• Must have the right to work full-time in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).

• 13.56 per hour.
