We are hiring for our client, a highly successful and well‑established food manufacturing organisation with a global customer base supplying premium products to over 100 countries worldwide. Due to continued investment and site performance, they now wish to appoint a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team at their Coleraine facility.

This Maintenance Engineer role operates on a continental shift pattern and offers an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer to work within a modern, fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The successful Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in maintaining plant reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across production.

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production and packaging equipment
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime
• Work with PLC systems and industrial controls to support efficient production
• Support continuous improvement and site reliability initiatives
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety and food standards

• Level 3 engineering qualification (electrical preferred)
• Apprenticeship‑trained within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment (food or similar)
• Proven experience in planned and reactive maintenance
• Working knowledge of PLC systems and industrial controls
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to engineering challenges
