General Operative – Food Production

Outskirts of Coleraine
Pay Rate: £14.30 per hour

Contract:

Temporary to Permanent (after 13 weeks)

Shifts:

3–4 days per week, rotating days and nights (6am–6pm / 6pm–6am)

MPA Coleraine is currently recruiting a reliable and hardworking General Operative to join a busy and well‑established food production facility based on the outskirts of Coleraine. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long‑term employment with the potential for a permanent position after 13 weeks.

You will play a key part in supporting daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are maintained at all times.

• Carry out a range of general operative and manual handling duties as directed by the Supervisor
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods and materials
• Operate machinery and equipment safely (full training provided)
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping within the work area
• Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
• Good communication skills
• Physical fitness to undertake manual tasks
• Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential
