Commercial Construction Superintendent

Location: Columbus, OH

Work Arrangement: On-Site

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations and coordinate construction activities on commercial projects in the Columbus, Ohio area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial general contracting, hands-on construction site leadership, and the ability to keep projects organized, safe, and moving forward according to schedule and quality expectations. • Oversee daily on-site construction operations for commercial projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain productivity and project schedules.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, manpower, and jobsite resources.
• Enforce jobsite safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Review construction drawings and specifications to identify potential conflicts or issues.
• Work closely with project managers and other team members to resolve field challenges.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure projects meet quality standards.
• Coordinate inspections, project milestones, and punch-list completion.
• Communicate project updates, delays, and field concerns to the appropriate team members.

• Previous experience as a Superintendent within commercial construction.
• General contracting (GC) background strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, scheduling, and site coordination.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades on active jobsites.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to jobsite safety, quality control, and project deadlines.
• Ability to work on-site in the Columbus, Ohio area.
