Team Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Locum Team Manager to join our Children’s Services team in Colwyn Bay. This temporary role is for an initial 12 weeks, with the potential for extension. You will be working full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. • Lead and manage a team within the Children’s Services division, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality social work that supports vulnerable children and families.
• Collaborate with the Mental Wellness team and third‑sector organisations to provide tailored and proportionate responses to those in need.
• Engage and support children, families, and carers, placing them at the centre of decision‑making processes to achieve desired outcomes.
• Develop resilience and independence in service users, promoting an empowering service culture.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act 1983, and maintain alignment with best practices in social work.

• Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Registered with Social Care Wales.
• Experience in working with vulnerable individuals, particularly those aged 18 and over.
• Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
