The role is for 40 hours per week, working 4 days out of 5 (Monday to Friday, either 6am-4pm or 8am-6pm)

Fine Decor Wall coverings Ltd is a leading Wall coverings and Décor products supplier based in Congleton, Cheshire.

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias.

Joining a team of experienced electrical and mechanical engineers, the position will include a reactive and planned mechanical maintenance to a variety of printing presses, ancillary equipment and buildings, to support the strategy of the ongoing smooth running of the plant.

The key responsibilities will include;

Reactive and planned maintenance
Mechanical and Electrical fault finding
Working with newly planned maintenance schedules
Helping towards increased efficiencies within the plant
Maintaining records
Ensure the business complies with current legislation
Emergency plant repairs when necessary

About you:

Essential skills required are:

HNC or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering
Mechanical knowledge including knowledge of pneumatics, diaphragm pumps, mechanical drives (chains, sprockets, gears, gearboxes, drive belts)
Production line servicing
Excellent fault finding skills
Good understanding of health & safety procedures
Good communication, organisational & planning skills
Ability to work on your own and within a team
Strong Team-work ethic.
Ability to work under your own initiative and also under pressure
Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Experience with in a factory environment

Other desirable skills are:

PLC knowledge
Knowledge of printing and printing machinery
