What Youll Do As a Sheet Laser Operator, youll be responsible for ensuring high standards of accuracy and efficiency throughout the cutting process, including:
Machine Operation Set up, operate, and monitor CNC laser cutting equipment Produce components from sheet metal according to engineering drawings and job specifications Material Handling Load/unload sheet metal onto the laser tower (forklift operation required) De-nest and prepare completed parts for the next stage of production Quality Control Carry out dimensional inspections using measurement tools Ensure all components meet required tolerances and quality standards Programming & Setup Select and load correct cutting programs Adjust machine parameters (power, speed, frequency, focal points) for different materials and thicknesses Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform daily and periodic maintenance tasks Identify and troubleshoot issues to maintain machine performance Report any faults or concerns to your supervisor Safety & Housekeeping Follow all factory safety and environmental procedures Use PPE correctly and maintain a clean, organised workspace Documentation & Communication Complete quality documentation and maintain tower stock levels Work closely with other teams to coordinate workloads and resolve issues Flexibility Support other areas such as dispatch or de-burring when production requires What Youll Bring Experience operating CNC laser cutting machinery (manufacturing or sheet metal experience preferred) Technical ability with strong machine-mechanical understanding and troubleshooting skills Drawing interpretation skills with the ability to spot potential issues High attention to detail and pride in delivering precise, quality work Strong work ethic , self-motivation, and the ability to work independently Good communication skills and a collaborative team approach Why Join Keystone Lintels?
