Amrize Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada

Join Amrize as a Civil/Pave Estimator and help construct what’s next. If you’re ready to put your skills to work on projects that matter — and build a career with a company that’s building North America, we want to hear from you!

About the Role

The Civil/Pave Estimator works within the Vancouver Civil, Pave and Concrete Construction divisions. You will prepare, submit, and track estimates for commercial, industrial, municipal and federal segments. Your work directly secures projects in the Greater Vancouver Area and contributes to the “Build your Ambition” vision by incorporating all of Amrize’s construction materials and logistics into bids.

You collaborate with the estimating team, project coordinators, superintendents, engineers, operations staff, and clients. Responsibilities include reviewing bid documents, performing quantity take‑offs, developing first‑principle estimates, procuring and comparing vendor and subcontractor quotes, and submitting proposals. After awards, you ensure a smooth handoff to Operations and continue to coordinate with supervisors throughout the project lifecycle, aligning cost with field operations and monitoring change orders.

With extensive project experience and a client‑focused approach, you will promote a culture of agility, collaboration, and empowerment, driving continuous improvement across the organization.

Manage credit approvals, schedules, subcontract agreements, purchase orders and accounting setup.
  • Contract Administration:
Verify documents, oversee tendering, manage change orders, and ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Market & Bid Analysis:
Track submitted bids, analyze market trends, and refine bidding strategies.
  • Project Oversight:
Manage bids within ICI, heavy civil, subdivisions, and other general contracting while monitoring costs and financial reports.
  • Interdepartmental

    Collaboration:

Work closely with estimators, project managers, superintendents, and coordinators during bidding and construction.
  • Reporting & Management Support:
