Job Title: Mechanical Draftsperson (Contract)

Location: Coquitlam, BC

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, on-site

Contract Length: 3–6 months, with potential extension

Overview:

Our client, an innovative company in the battery energy storage sector, is seeking a Mechanical Draftsperson to support ongoing design, prototyping, and manufacturing initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on design work within a fast‑moving, engineering‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and update detailed mechanical drawings and models
• Support engineering and manufacturing teams with design modifications and documentation
• Assist with prototype development and regulatory documentation as needed
• Ensure all drafting output meets quality and compliance standards
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to support product development cycles

Required

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of drafting or mechanical design experience (all experience levels considered)
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Inventor and Solid Works
• Drafting experience within manufacturing, electrical, automotive, or prototype environments is strongly preferred
• Experience in battery storage or related energy systems is an asset
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements is an advantage
