  • Assist management in reviewing Health and Safety Improvement Plan objectives, identifying key areas for improvement, and developing targeted action plans. Track and analyze safety and training KPIs to support data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Develop and support safe work processes for operational, maintenance, and manufacturing activities, with a particular focus on high‑risk tasks. Source and recommend safety products that are effective, consistent, and financially responsible.
  • Manage safety documentation in platforms such as iCare and Avetta, ensuring accurate and compliant tracking of investigations, training, and contractor records. Organize and conduct health and safety audits (e.g., COR, internal), follow up on audit findings, and assist in overcoming barriers to completion.

Partner with HR and site management to facilitate early and safe return‑to‑work programs, including accommodations and modified duties. Complete required reporting for Mines or Work Safe BC.
  • Provide expert guidance on OH&S legislation and Amrize’s safety standards. Foster strong, proactive relationships with site management, employees, local authorities, and regulatory bodies. Participate actively in the Joint Health and Safety Committee and external safety communications.
  • Contribute to the development and monitoring of industrial hygiene initiatives addressing exposure risks such as respirable crystalline silica, dust, asbestos, noise, and heat stress, ensuring workplace health hazards are effectively managed.
