Social Worker – Adult Team in Cornwall UK – £32.50 hourly, Ongoing

We have an opportunity for a Social Worker in the Adult Team based in Cornwall. This ongoing locum role offers a pay rate of £32.50 hourly and flexibility for full-time or part-time work. The position provides an opportunity to make an impact in the community.

• Collaborate with team members and multi-disciplinary teams from various agencies to address the needs of vulnerable adults effectively.
• Ensure the views and wishes of individuals and their carers are considered, keeping them central to decision-making.
• Complete Mental Capacity Act (MCA) assessments and Best Interest decisions. Where necessary, complete Court of Protection (COP) applications and attend hearings.
• Protect adults in need of support services in accordance with legal requirements, including safeguarding enquiries and self-neglect interventions.
• Promote independence, prevention, re-ablement, and self-determination by facilitating effective communication with families, carers, individuals, and other agencies.
• SWE registration.
• Proven ability to work independently or as part of a team and travel to the Watergate PCN area as needed.
• Experience in safeguarding and self-neglect interventions.

Based in Mid Cornwall, you may work from an informal base in Newquay or out of New County Hall. This role supports a lifestyle in Cornwall, with its beaches and vibrant cultural scene.
