• Execution and completion of complex tax returns
• Review of a wide range of personal tax returns and simple corporate tax returns
• Manage tax activities in connection with non-tax (i.e., accounting/audit) files
• Work with Tax Partners and other senior tax staff to:
  • develop and implement tax planning services including research of tax issues and preparation of memoranda, and
  • perform special tax engagements
• Collaborate with peers and senior management on file planning and completion within time constraints
• Preparation and presentation of technical sessions to firm staff
• Provide personal, attentive service to clients to encourage productive working relationships and identify client service opportunities

• Successful completion of the Common Final Evaluation (CFE), at a minimum holding a status of CPA-in-waiting
• Intention to enroll and complete the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course and/or Master of Taxation Course
• 3 – 5 years of accounting experience, tax experience considered an asset
• High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Caseware/Caseview, Tax Prep, and tax research software
• Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, project management and organizational skills
• Strong analytical skills and creativity to identify problems and potential solutions
• Professional manner, strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to provide value-added service to clients and strong understanding of a client-focused fast paced work environment including related deadlines. Ability to effectively pivot between tasks, prioritize and manage deliverables to meet conflicting deadlines
