Mechanical Assembler

We are looking for an mechanical assembler to join a growing team in the Cornwall area.

Job Type/Shift: Full time – Monday to Friday – Days

Location:

Cornwall, Ontario

What you are Doing:

Assemble and test mechanical, electrical, and electronic components and assemblies.

Understand electrical, electronic, and mechanical drawings and related documents necessary for electromechanical component and assembly inspection, build, and test.

Able to use electrical schematics, procedures, engineering drawings, and follow written/verbal instructions, including test procedures.

Interpret and follow wire harness and connector assembly instructions, schematics, and manufacturing drawings.

Use basic hand tools, cutters, wire strippers, soldering irons and heat guns for wire harness assembly. Set up and use wire cutting and crimping equipment.

Perform quality checks on parts and assembled / completed items to verify specifications and integrity of overall systems.

Work independently and take initiative.

What you need:

Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, hands-on in a production environment.

Trained in IPC-A-620 a strong asset

Demonstrated understanding and compliance with applicable workmanship standards.

Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

Understanding of elementary problem-solving techniques required.

Ability to pass Criminal Background check and enhanced clearance requirements for the position.
