Payroll Administrator – OFI Institutional Asset Management / e‑ppl Group
Location: Longford, Coventry (CV6)

Responsibilities- Manage the end‑to‑end processing of weekly payroll for contract workers using our payroll systems.
- Maintain and update employee records, and manage any changes in accordance with the company’s processes and procedures.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee enquiries related to pay and deductions, ensuring timely and confidential resolution or appropriate escalation.
- Provide high‑level administrative support, including handling workforce and client queries via phone, email, and in person.
- Collaborate with the Manpower Planning & Recruitment teams to ensure accurate employee data.
- Collaborate with the Commercial department to ensure quotations and purchase orders are in place and maintained.
- Provide evidence where needed to support collection of customer debt.
- Support colleagues and line managers to provide an accurate and efficient service, including responding to payroll‑related queries.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, co‑workers, and management.
- Some knowledge of PAYE, credit control, remittances, VAT, employers' NI, employee tax and national insurance processes is advantageous; full training will be provided.
- Honesty, integrity and confidentiality are essential in any payroll‑related role.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy when handling and processing data.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude toward feedback and uses it to enhance performance.
- Able to maintain focus and productivity in environments with frequent interruptions or background noise.
- A proactive, organised and professional approach to administration.
Skills & Qualifications
- Higher‑level payroll or data analyst qualification, or experience in a payroll processing role.
- Good IT skills including the use of payroll software.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- A DBS/Background check will be conducted.
