About The Role
This is a full‑time role of 36.5 hours per week. Flexibility is required as the role will require occasional weekends.
Campus Cleaning Services provides cleaning across 7,076 campus bedrooms, 479 hotel rooms and 65 University buildings.
We are looking for a Facilities Assistant to join the Campus Cleaning Services team within the Estates Department. The role provides efficient, customer‑focused portering, manual handling and minor maintenance service.
Eligibility- This vacancy is open to current University employees on the redeployment register only.
- This vacancy is open to internal candidates only, including current University employees, Graduate Teaching Assistants and Unitemps.
- Applications for part‑time or other flexible working basis (e.g. job share) will be considered, although the position is advertised as full‑time.
You will be a good team player, working well with others and keen to provide excellent customer service for students, staff and visitors.
A level of physical activity is required; candidates should be able to carry out manual handling.
As the role involves driving University vehicles covered by the University Vehicle Insurance Policy, you must possess a full UK or EU equivalent licence in force for at least one year and have no serious driving convictions.
