We currently have a new opportunity for a dynamic and flexible Media & Performing Arts Technician to join our team.
** Job overview
** To support the Performing Arts Department by providing technical service including sound production and engineering, rigging, focusing and programming of lighting systems and use of audio-visual equipment. To also support the creation and administration of the school’s media output including social media, photography and videography.
** The right candidate will have:
*** Minimum GCSE or equivalent in English and mathematics
* Qualifications in performing arts or media is desirable
* Experience of technical work within a theatre, entertainment or school environment
* Strong knowledge and proficiency in IT, media technology, digital film recording/editing equipment, including Apple Mac/PC computers, Garage Band, photography equipment, projector setup, presentations, and specific theatre industry design programmes

As Media & Performing Arts Technician within Sidney Stringer Academy, you’ll be able to make a key difference to a pupil’s educational experience as a crucial part of the wider team, and will have the opportunity to develop your skill set with key training and development opportunities available.
