**** The Experience
** Apprentices are responsible for driving performance and efficiency improvements into existing processes, ensuring the business can deliver customer requirements of quality, cost, and demand, whilst also ensuring our processes adhere to established standards, policies, and practices.
Activities include but may not be limited to:
* Analysis of manufacturing processes across the Machining Centre of Excellence in all aspects of production.

** Level 6 Manufacturing Engineer Apprenticeship certificate**, and a
** BEng (Hons) Manufacturing Engineering
** As part of this programme apprentices are required to attend university sessions on a day release basis (online synchronous delivery once a week, and on campus (Coventry city centre) sessions 1 – 2 times per month). On campus sessions will allow you to experience Coventry University’s state of the art labs and facilities which will enhance the quality of training you will be given.
Travel will need to be considered for the face-to-face sessions - the campus does have excellent public transport links with it being within the city centre and there are also car parks with discounted student rates (subject to availability)
Work closely with a wide range of functions within the business, including Operations, Quality, Design Engineering and Supply Chain to ensure you develop the skills needed to become a successful manufacturing engineer within Caterpillar. This apprenticeship will allow you to undertake placements across the business in multiple critical functions, including quality, operational leadership, global manufacturing, and supplier development and Design Engineering.
Equivalent academic qualifications to the above requirements welcome. You can apply with predicted grades. If you’re successful at the interview stage, the job offer will be conditional on you achieving the required grades before September 2026.
