We are working with a leading manufacturer of industrial equipment. Their team designs and manufactures all equipment in-house, and we have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing design team.

Key Responsibilities

* Create detailed 3D models using Solid Works.

* Produce accurate 2D fabrication and assembly drawings.

* Review and prepare drawing documentation.

* Develop technical documentation in line with departmental procedures.

* Provide technical support internally and externally.

* Maintain internal record systems and drawing logs.

* Conduct site visits and surveys for new projects.

Candidate Profile

* Proven experience in Mechanical Engineering (Degree, HNC, A-Level, or equivalent).

* Proficient in Solid Works for 3D modelling and drawing.

* Strong IT skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).

* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

* Key competencies: creativity, teamwork, communication.

* Ability to commute (Full UK driving licence preferred).

Desirable Skills

* Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

* Familiarity with AutoCAD/Draftsight.

* Understanding of manufacturing processes (welding, steel fabrication).

* Experience with industrial pipework (flanges, fittings).

* Ability to survey and measure accurately.
