Overview

Join BES Group as a Structures Examiner (STE4) to help keep key civil infrastructure safe and compliant for the rail sector.

• Inspect and examine a variety of structures across the UK in accordance with technical standards and specifications.
• Lead the safe and successful delivery of structural inspections, investigations and surveys.
• Support pre‑work planning activities: attend pre‑site visits, liaise with landowners, agents, or contractors, and review safe systems of work.
• Prepare inspection reports, including drawings produced within CAD.
• Work as part of a growing team on railway infrastructure.

• Experience in a Structures Examiner role.
• Knowledge of Rail Inspection Regulations.
• Fully competent to STE4 level (or working towards).
• Prepared to travel and work nationwide.
• Ability to work at height and within confined spaces.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ideally, an IRATA qualification (up to Rope Access Supervisor L3).
