We're currently recruiting for a Specialist Support Worker to join a new Active Opportunity Pathway (AOP) service in Coventry, supporting people experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantage.

About the role

This is an accommodation-based role where you'll work in a strength-based, trauma-informed way, supporting residents with complex needs including mental health, substance misuse and offending histories.

You'll be involved in:
- Managing a caseload and delivering outcome focused support plans
- Tenancy and rent management
- Supporting access to specialist services (mental health, drug & alcohol, employment)
- Delivering 1:1 and group-based support
- Working closely with internal teams and external partner agencies

- Complete regular accommodation inspections

This is a new and developing service, offering the opportunity to make a real impact and help shape best practice from the ground up.

About you

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

Strong experience supporting people experiencing homelessness or multiple disadvantage
Experience in accommodation-based services and tenancy management
A trauma-informed, non-judgemental and strengths-based approach
Confidence managing safeguarding, risk and complex needs🔐 Enhanced DBS, satisfactory references and a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle are required due to extensive travel across the UK will be required from time to time to support the delivery of role requirements
