The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) is a world‑renowned research & development organisation that bridges the gap between academia and industry. With cutting‑edge facilities in Coventry, Liverpool and Oxford and as part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, we work across sectors including aerospace, automotive, construction, electronics and defence.

We’re looking for a strategic and empathetic Employee Relations Lead to champion a positive, productive, and legally compliant workplace culture. Reporting to the Head of People Experience, you’ll shape our employee relations strategy and support people managers.

• Lead and manage employee relations cases (grievances, disciplinary, performance, etc.)
• Develop and implement ER strategies and policies aligned with employment law and MTC values
• Provide expert advice on legal compliance and employment law updates
• Coach and train managers to foster positive team dynamics
• Analyse data to identify trends and inform strategic decisions
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including legal professionals
• Oversee policy effectiveness and manage Occupational Health services

• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR practices
• Excellent leadership, communication and conflict resolution skills
• Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
• Analytical mindset with experience interpreting data and trends
