Job Title: Infrastructure Analyst (VMware)

Location: Coventry (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)

Contract: 6 Months++

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Analyst (VMware) to join a dynamic platform team supporting a large-scale enterprise environment.

You will play a key role in managing, maintaining, and improving a complex virtualised infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.

This position requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, a collaborative approach, and an eagerness to contribute to process improvements and platform efficiency.

• Provide technical support and incident resolution for production VMware environments.
• Manage, maintain, and patch virtualised infrastructure (vSphere, UCS, HPE).
• Perform technical tasks such as resource allocation, storage management, and backup configuration.
• Use vRealize Operations Manager to monitor and optimise infrastructure performance.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity using VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM).
• Work with storage technologies such as IBM Block/File Storage, Spectrum Scale
  , and Dell Vx Rail .
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure automation, scaling, and performance improvements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and procedures.

• VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN
• vRealize Operations, vRealize Automation, vRealize Log Insight
• Cisco UCS, HPE Blade infrastructure
• Backup tools (Commvault preferred)
• Scripting and Linux command line familiarity
• Understanding of Agile delivery practices

• Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting virtualised infrastructure in enterprise environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Collaborative and proactive mindset, continuously seeking efficiency improvements.
• Experience working with infrastructure monitoring tools (Solar Winds, App Dynamics, Datadog).
