IT Network/Infrastructure Support Engineer 1st Line – Axians UK

As a member of the Internal Support team for Vinci Energies UK & ROI, you will join a technical team that supports a range of software and hardware across 30 offices in the UK and ROI.
Key Responsibilities- Taking initial day-to-day calls
- Raising tickets
- Password resets
- Checking the day and logging calls in the support mailbox
- Monitoring Nagios and reporting any issues
- Setting up new starter accounts (profile, IAM, homepage, Outlook, Skype, printers, map drives, Teams, etc.)
- Processing leaver accounts
- Ordering phones & SIMs (data or voice)
- Ordering HP laptops/desktops and accessories
- Providing quotes for laptops/desktops (HP) and phones
- Setting up users’ printers and drive mapping
- Building and upgrading laptops/desktops (memory, hard drives)
- Installing off‑the‑shelf software/applications
- Ordering licences from CDW
- Performing backup and file restore tasks
- Providing desktop/end‑user break‑fix support
- Maintaining timesheets as part of the project‑based company model
- Proven experience with desktop and server solutions across the Microsoft stack.
- Experience with Wi‑Fi solutions and knowledge of Cisco equipment.
- Microsoft certifications are an advantage.
- Active Directory administration
- Windows 10 management
- Office 365 administration
- Hyper V virtualization
- Backup technologies, particularly VEEAM
- Experience with Solar Winds monitoring software is advantageous
- Ensuring team adherence to Axians’ Management System Manual for Quality (ISO 9001), Info Sec (ISO 27001) and ESG (ISO 14001).
