Team Leader (Social Work) – Learning Disabilities & Transitions Team – Coventry, UK – £35.44 Hourly – Full-Time – 3 Month Contract

Join an exhilarating journey as a full-time Team Leader in the heart of Coventry with the Learning Disabilities & Transitions Team. This locum role offers you the opportunity to lead and inspire a team of dedicated social workers, both qualified and unqualified, over a 3‑month period. You’ll delve deep into the realms of learning disabilities and transitions, playing a crucial role in supporting adults while honing your skills in the robust world of social work.

With a mandatory expectation of working from the office for at least 40% of the week, the team eagerly awaits a leader with your expertise.

What you will do:

  • Supervise a vibrant and varied team of qualified and unqualified social workers, guiding them in managing complex cases.
  • Lead efforts in supporting adults with learning disabilities, ensuring adherence to the Care Act and other relevant legislation including CHC.
  • Utilise your knowledge in mental health and transitions to improve outcomes for young people entering adult services.
  • Manage and prioritise workloads efficiently, leveraging your supervisory and management experience.
  • Conduct interviews and assessments with clients and their families to develop effective care plans.
  • Ensure a minimum of two office days per week, allowing for direct collaboration and mentorship within the office.
