About the Role
 
Our client is seeking an experienced, passionate, and motivated Children's Care Home Manager between the ages of 8 - 18 years old. To lead and develop a high-quality residential children's home in Coventry. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring the home delivers outstanding care and positive outcomes for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
 
The successful candidate will be registered with Ofsted and will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, nurturing and supportive environment where children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities
 
Provide strong, inspirational leadership to the staff team
Ensure the home meets and exceeds Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards
Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager
Develop, implement and monitor individual care plans and risk assessments
Promote positive behaviour management and safeguarding practices
Recruit, train, supervise, and develop staff
Manage budgets, rotas, and resources effectively
Build positive relationships with children, families, social workers and external professionals
Lead on inspections, audits and continuous improvement   
Essential Requirements
 
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Minimum 2 years' experience in a management or deputy role within a children's residential setting
Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding and children's legislation
Proven leadership and people management skills
Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a trauma-informed way
Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
Full UK driving licence   
Desirable
 
Experience managing an Ofsted-rated home
Background in supporting children with EBD, trauma, or complex needs
Experience leading a home through an Ofsted inspection
