What you’ll be doing
  • Managing relationships with design houses and supporting the development of best‑practice packaging solutions.
  • Briefing artworks, maintaining cutter guides, coordinating redesign projects and managing film changeovers on site.
  • Supporting the NPD process—packaging trials, transit testing, and managing print timelines from FTP through to site introduction.
  • Providing day‑to‑day packaging support to Operations and QA teams.
  • Building knowledge of packaging materials to improve line efficiency and product performance.
  • Ensuring all existing packaging is compliant, fit for purpose and supported by accurate electronic specifications.
  • Delivering cost‑saving and rationalisation projects.
  • Building strong supplier relationships and keeping up to date with industry trends, materials, and competitor insights.
  • Solving operational packaging quality issues.
  • Supporting NPD launches when equipment or materials present challenges.
  • Balancing quality, cost, and technical feasibility in packaging development.
  • Managing artwork and print requirements within tight deadlines.
  • Identifying correct barrier films for product and shelf‑life needs.
  • Addressing legal or technical issues related to packaging or print.
What we’re looking for
  • Strong background in NPD packaging within food manufacturing.
  • Experience working with artwork, packaging materials, and print processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a problem‑solving mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with occasional travel required.
