CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator Milling
Coventry £18-£20/hour Days Full-Time Permanent
Are you an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator who thrives on small batch and prototype work? Want to work on interesting, varied projects in a modern machine shop with proper pay and plenty of overtime? This could be the role you've been waiting for.
Were working with a respected sub-contract machining company based in Coventry, known for producing complex, high-quality components for industries including automotive, aerospace, defence, and scientific equipment. You'll be joining a tight-knit, experienced team where skill, initiative and quality come first.
What's onOffer:
- Hourly Rate: £18.00 - £20.00 (depending on experience)
- Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:30
- Friday: 07:30 - 12:30 (early finish!)
- Overtime:
Regularly available, paid at enhanced rates - Contract:
Full-time, permanent - Environment:
Modern, well-equipped machine shop with varied and challenging work
- Programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines (Fanuc control)
- Producing small batch and one-off prototype parts for multiple industries
- Programming using Powermill, with flexibility for other CAD/CAM or offline programming software
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specs
- Working to tight tolerances, ensuring quality throughout the process
- Contributing to continuous improvement and supporting fellow machinists
- Quality checks
Experience:
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller, CNC Programmer, or CNC Machinist
- Confident programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Experience with Fanuc controls, or similar
- Familiar with Powermill, though other CAD/CAM software also considered (Fusion 360, Master
CAM, EdgeCAM etc.) - Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail
- Comfortable with one-off or low volume, precision parts
- Competitive hourly rate with strong earning potential
