Maintenance Technician

Type of employment:
Contract, 6 months with potential for another 6 months

Salary: £41,000 plus overtime

Hours of work:
Monday to Friday, weekly rotation 6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm, 10pm – 6am

• Minimise downtime.
• Maximise machine capability.
• Maintenance, repair & continuous improvement of production machinery, equipment & systems, including daily/weekly routine maintenance activities in combination with supporting continuous improvement activities.
• Identify and procure consumables & machine spares.
• Accompany, assist and monitor service engineers, contractors and vendors.
• Ensure efficient shift handovers to ensure machines and plant are safe & maintained at optimum operational condition.
• Multi-skilled role Electrical/Mechanical within a manufacturing/production environment.
• Follow Company H&S policies.

Essential:

• Timed served apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Abb Robots.
• Siemens Software.
• NVQ or Higher in Mechanical and Electrical engineering.
• Effective team player.
• Communicational skills.
• The ability to work independently.
• To work under pressure and to strict deadlines.

Desirable:

• 18th Edition electrical Installation.
