Night Shift Production Manager (Coventry)
18:00pm - 04:30am Mon - Thurs + OT
Up to £55,000 per annum
Established over 40 years ago, MNB Precision provides manufacturing and precision engineering services to the world's leading companies across the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Rail and other manufacturing industries.
We are currently looking for a Production Manager to join the business on a night shift.
Responsibilities- Oversight of all manufacturing and production processes on the night shift.
- Ensure all production schedules are carried out in line with Production Director’s instructions and targets for the role of Night Shift Production Manager.
- Ensure the quality of all work produced meets the company quality standards.
- Monitor on and off times of WO's on all machines that the supervisors are responsible for at least twice a day and report any production issues to Production Director.
- Assist and resolve technical problems as and when they arise and put an action plan to prevent future occurrence (IRN & OEE).
- Manage the staff you are responsible for, setting targets and carrying out regular performance appraisals for the role of Night Shift Production Manager.
- Carry out company disciplinary procedures where necessary.
- Accurately contribute when required to the estimation process.
- Ensure maintenance schedules are adhered to and report any issues to maintenance manager.
- Responsibility for the security and organisation of the company CNC programmes through the Supervisors who are responsible for the specific areas.
- Constantly work towards improving efficiency throughout the company production areas (OEE).
- Train the section improvers when required and suggest new training/new technology programmes as appropriate.
- Extensive experience within a precision manufacturing environment, ideally within Oil & Gas, Aerospace or Defence.
- Proven experience managing manufacturing and production processes within a machine shop environment.
- Previous experience managing and motivating teams as well as responsibility with appraisals and disciplinary processes.
- Motivated and driven to lead from the front at all times.
- Great communication skills.
