We are looking for a talented and versatile mathematician, statistician or computer scientist to work as part of a team of interdisciplinary researchers at the Centre for Applications of Mathematical and Computing Sciences (CAMaCS) at Warwick.

• Work across different long‑term and short‑term projects with a diverse range of academic and non‑academic partners;
• Interface between academics in Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science and external partners to scope, design, and deliver impactful research projects;
• Learn about and implement new modelling techniques for interdisciplinary research;
• Cultivate your own academic identity with a broad base of expertise;
• Demonstrate leadership through the development of novel data‑centric modelling within other disciplines.

Engage in collaborative grant capture and impact acceleration.

You will hold a PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a Related Discipline. Your application should include a research statement, CV, and list of publications, along with a cover letter, identifying and evidencing your experience with as many of the following areas as possible, preferably at least two.

• Machine learning and/or other quantitative modelling in AI
• Statistical modelling
• Interdisciplinary mathematical modelling
• Numerical analysis and scientific computing

If you are near submission of your PhD, or have not yet had it conferred, any offers of employment will be made at Research Assistant level, at the highest spinal point of pay grade 5 (£34,610 per annum).

Upon receipt of evidence confirming the successful award of your PhD, you will be promoted to Research Fellow
, at the lowest spinal point of grade 6 (£35,608 per annum).
