South Midlands
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 Basic - £60,000 – £80,000+ OTE (Uncapped)
The Role
We are recruiting for a driven and commercially focused Business Development Manager to support continued growth across the South Midlands region.
Reporting directly to the Sales Director, this role is heavily focused on new business generation, identifying growth opportunities, and consistently delivering and exceeding Materials Handling Equipment sales targets and KPIs.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional who thrives in a target-driven environment and enjoys building new customer relationships.
What’s on Offer
£50,000 – £60,000 basic salary
£80,000+ OTE (uncapped commission)

Key Responsibilities
Achieve agreed annual sales targets for new, used, and materials handling equipment
Proactively generate new business leads and opportunities through market research and prospecting
Manage product and service mix, pricing, and margins in line with agreed objectives
Plan and manage a personal sales portfolio within the assigned territory
Demonstrate products and services to prospective and existing customers
Advise customers on solutions best suited to their operational needs
Build, maintain, and develop long-term customer relationships
Follow up post-delivery to ensure satisfaction and identify further opportunities
Support continuous improvement of sales processes
Consistently demonstrate company values of Integrity, Courage, Collaboration, and Excellence About You
Proven success in sales, account management, or business development
Experience with in the forklift, materials handling, plant, access, or capital equipment sector (or a closely related technical sales environment)
Strong new business focus with a proactive, self-motivated approach
Comfortable working to targets and KPIs
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Experience in forklift or materials handling equipment sales is advantageous but not essential
Candidates from capital equipment or technical sales backgrounds are encouraged
