Here at GXO Logistics Coventry we are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our transport team, supporting our customer Halfords. You will be part of a supportive team that goes the extra mile, helping you stay confident on the road and grow in your driving career.

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on an ‘any 5 out of 7’ pattern, with a start time window of 02:00 to 04:00, contracted to 48 hours per week. The role follows an 8‑week rolling rota: four weeks Monday‑Friday, three weeks Tuesday‑Saturday, and one week Tuesday‑Friday.

Pay, benefits and more:

• An hourly rate of £18.20, equivalent to an annual salary of £45,444.78
• An additional £51.99 for Saturday and Sunday
• £475.77 annual responsibility allowance
• 31 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays)

• Ongoing annual CPC training

• Deliver palletised goods using single & double deck or curtain lorries to retail stores on a multi‑drop basis, averaging 6 drops per shift
• Maintain accurate driving/working time records using the Tachomaster system and manual entries to record all working hours as required by the WTD regulations
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner
• Ensure all products are checked off the vehicle and the customer receives the correct products and delivery documentation

• Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
• Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements
• Previous experience driving category C+E vehicles is essential
