Thank you for your interest in the position of Senior Practitioner within Older People Social Work Service, which is part of Fife Health and Social Care Partnership. The role is a 36‑hour post based at Brunton House, Cowdenbeath and Lynebank Hospital, Dunfermline.
Responsibilities- Lead and supervise staff development, providing coaching and mentoring to team members.
- Assist the team manager with core operational tasks.
- Deliver responsive assessments to the public, upholding social‑work values and principles.
- Passionate, skilled, innovative and people‑centred practitioner.
- High standard of written work demonstrating analysis or synthesis of complex information.
- Confident in knowledge of legislative frameworks and risk management.
- Excellent communicator with demonstrated leadership in practice.
- Experience of supervision/coaching/mentoring colleagues.
- Sound knowledge of risk and ability to enable practice relating to this.
- Experienced working with older people and understanding of the associated challenges.
- A qualified Social Worker holding a BA (Hons) Social Work or MSc in Social Work.
- Accredited post‑qualifying award or willingness to work towards the award within the first two years.
- Registered with the SSSC and able to apply for registration within three months of appointment; to be fully registered within six months.
- Willingness to travel throughout Fife.
