Packaging Technologist

My job Packaging Technologist - Roaming role across NI & GB (On site, Mon-Fri) We're looking for Packaging Technologist to join our Packaging team! You'll be responsible for the development, trialling, and implementation of packaging solutions to meet company, category, and customer requirements. What You'll Do Conduct packaging trials, testing, and validation to ensure materials are fit for purpose Nurture and support the introduction of new packaging into manufacturing sites, ensuring compatibility with machinery and processes Collaborate with suppliers to explore and investigate packaging innovation and sustainable packaging solutions Work within cross-functional teams across Pilgrims Europe, including I&D, Process Development, Procurement, Finance and Operations Respond to packaging-related technical issues, working with site teams and suppliers to deliver timely solutions Ensure packaging complies with industry standards and customer requirements Identify cost-effective packaging alternatives and support procurement in cost engineering initiatives Support data capture and reporting for sustainability and compliance initiatives What You'll Bring Essential:
Honours Degree and/or: PIABC Certificate and/or Diploma in Packaging - or equivalent Experience in R&D, NPD, or Manufacturing A demonstrable knowledge of packaging and packing processes. Effective team player and communicator Self-motivated and able to work independently Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Flexibility to travel Full UK driving licence Desirable:
