E&B Systems Team – Permanent Development Role
We are looking for an energetic and dynamic person to join the E&B Systems Team. This is a permanent role within our development team.
The role will give you the opportunity to experience a wide variety of work and develop widely transferable skills. The team focuses on the support and delivery of technical digital solutions to address business problems and to support major digital transformation. We want someone to understand how digital tools can help our regulatory work and how we can build, support and develop solutions to help our staff in their front‑line work.
We are looking for a flexible individual who manages themselves and is able to lead on technical development areas and solutions. The team focuses on regulatory services and technical solutions, supporting the work of the Environment Agency. The individual should be comfortable working in dispersed project groups and able to manage themselves independently.

TeamThe team is a dispersed, flexible resource working across digital and business activity areas. We provide digital product development and configuration services, a support service to Operations staff covering our business systems and technologies, and we contribute to cross‑cutting and high‑risk projects. We deliver innovative, integrated outcomes, connecting the business to the IT needed to deliver benefits for the environment. We provide a critical intelligent client role in digital IT services and operational activities.
Experience/ Skills Required
You should have skills in digital product management or be an experienced environment practitioner. You should be comfortable with tools such as Power Platform, SharePoint, DCP (Document Core Pack), Canvas Apps, Microsoft Access and have the capability of application configuration. You will be skilled in addressing the needs of internal and external customers. You will have a good understanding of business problems and the challenges faced by staff and be able to think innovatively to develop solutions.
The successful person will be able to demonstrate strong technical skills. Key to this is developing strong partnerships with staff that will work alongside us to deliver great outcomes. You will need strong technical skills and an ability to convey that understanding to non‑technical clients. You will need to be skilled in collaborating with customers; developing and sustaining partner relationships is vital.

Location is flexible. Infrequent travel for some meetings in Bristol/Birmingham is required.
