Hgv Class 1 Driver

The Company

Our client is a market leading engineering company. Due to growth, they are now looking to recruit a HGV Driver.

• Is a permanent role with an immediate start.
• Operating large articulated lorries for long‑haul transport.
• Delivering and collecting the company’s products across the UK.
• Route planning.
• Ensuring load safety.
• Supervising loading/unloading.
• Vehicle checks and coordinating deliveries.
• Includes on average 9 overnights per month.

• Must have Class 1 Driving Licence‑Category C+E, Driver CPC and digital tacho card.
• Experience working within an HGV driving role.
• Strong attention to detail, ensure trailers are loaded safely and securely.
• Complete daily defect sheets.
• Comply with the requirements of legislation and operating procedures relating to the use of drivers hours and working time directive.
• Follow all company operational procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills.
