Security Officer - TN

Job Title: Security Officer
Location:Cranbrook, TN17
Pay Rate: £13.40 per hour
Shift Pattern: Thursday, Friday and Sunday, 07:00 to 19:00 (36 hours per week)

Additional hours may be available, particularly for candidates who hold a full driving licence

Our customer is a female-majority board leading in diversity and inclusivity across the security industry. Providing professional integrated bespoke security and facilities management services across an array of sectors, including educational settings, student accommodation, healthcare, charitable, corporate / estate management, Logistics and distribution, social housing, utilities, and shopping centres / retail parks.

Key Responsibilities

• Safeguarding and ensuring the safety of minors residing in the centre
• Monitoring access control and managing visitor entry
• Carrying out regular site patrols
• Working closely with on-site staff and external stakeholders including Social Services and Councillors
• Responding to emergencies, including fire marshal duties and evacuation coordination
• Engaging with emergency services when required
• Managing conflict and de-escalating incidents effectively
• Completing reports and maintaining accurate security records

Requirements

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence in handling conflict and resolving incidents
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Enhanced DBS is desirable but can be arranged and paid for successful applicants
• Knowledge of safeguarding children is desirable but training will be provided
• Ability to work well as part of a team
