The role of the Clinical Support Worker is to support in the delivery of high‑quality patient care by attending to aspects of patient personal hygiene, supporting patients to access appropriate nutrition, providing bowel and bladder care and maintaining patient privacy and dignity at all times. The post holder will undertake a range of clinical care duties as delegated by a Registered Nurse.

Experience would be preferable due to the fast pace of the role, however training could be provided for the right applicant who shows the quality and skills required for patient care in a rewarding yet challenging environment.

The current vacancies are in our Surgery & Cancer Division.

The hours of work are - 07:30 – 20:00 and 19:30 – 08:00
Full time - 37.5 hours - 3 x 12 hour shifts Part time - 24 hours - 2 x 12 hours shifts
Days/Nights/Weekends & Bank Holidays

Recruitment for this role will follow the process below:
Wednesday 21st January 2026 – Assessment Centre and Interviews will be held at Infinity House. If you are shortlisted for this role you will need to be available to attend in person on this date.
No remote/teams assessments or interviews will be available due to the face‑to‑face nature of the role.

The post holder will undertake a range of clinical care duties as delegated by a Registered Nurse.

About us

MCHFT provides a full range of local hospital and community services for people across East Cheshire (population 399K) and West Cheshire and Chester boroughs (population 357K). The Trust provides high quality planned and unplanned/emergency care, cardiac and critical care as well as child health, maternity services, and intermediate care across our sites at Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford.

Job responsibilities
  • Assist patients in maintaining their personal hygiene, grooming and dressing needs with specific concern for their religious, cultural and personal preference, ensuring privacy and dignity at all times.
  • Assist patients in gaining access to and in the use of appropriate toilet facilities. Measure and record body waste/fluid balance accurately.
  • Ensure patients nutritional needs are met through assisting in the preparation of patients prior to meals and beverages, providing help and assistance in feeding/drinking as necessary. Appropriately record and monitor dietary intake of patients, informing relevant staff of progress and/or any difficulties relating to dietary/fluid intake. Undertakes a range of care duties (appendix
