Engineering Supervisor

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join a well-established team on a permanent basis at a large, prestigious site in Croydon. This role will involve overseeing a team of shift engineers while ensuring all engineering operations and processes are carried out in full compliance with statutory and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical advice and support to site-based Authorised Persons (APs)

Lead, plan, and deliver agreed changes to drive continuous improvement and enhance site performance

Assess, appoint, and manage all Authorised Persons, maintaining the Certified Persons Register

Ensure all planned preventative maintenance is completed to a high standard and that scopes of work are appropriate for the installed equipment

Develop, implement, and maintain action plans following internal and external audits, including annual audits from Authorising Engineers, ensuring timely and accurate close-out

Collaborate with site-based Authorised Persons to produce a forward maintenance register and capital investment plan to support proactive estate management

Conduct regular assessments of site-based Authorised Persons, ensuring all training and appointments remain valid and up to date

Maintain consistency and accuracy across all site logbooks

Participate in callout rota
Ensure the permit-to-work system is fully compliant and fit for purpose

Review, check, and authorise all relevant HV switching programmes

Essential Requirements

Proven experience operating in an Authorised Person (AP) role

HV & LV Authorised, with the ability to write and authorise HV switching schedules

Extensive knowledge of Building Services Engineering

Strong supervisory and people-management experience

Qualified to HNC/HND level or equivalent

Full Electrical, Mechanical, or Air Conditioning qualifications
