Senior Process Engineer

One of our valued clients, a Global Manufacturing business, are looking to add a Senior Process Engineer to the team.

The client are going through a period of change, undergoing a programme of Operational Excellence with the aim of improving efficiency. This role will play a key part of that programme, mentoring junior engineers on the shop floor, overcoming engineering challenges and identifying and driving opportunities for continuous improvement.

The environment here is a highly automated production facility, producing a high number of units per year across a variety of designs and specifications.

This is a mature Manufacturing business that do so many things extremely well. We are looking for an experienced engineer who can keep hold of these strengths, whilst striving for that next stage of development.

Key responsibilities

Process engineering

• Optimise manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness
• Develop and implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies

Product Engineering

• Support New Product Introductions to ensure smooth transition from design to production
• Collaborate with R&D teams

Continuous Improvement Strategy

• Drive initiatives to improve productivity and enhance product quality
• Analyse production data to identify trend and implement corrective measures

Leadership

• Be a senior figure of the production floor, mentor a team of engineers and technicians
• Champion best practice
• Foster a culture of collaboration between Process, Maintenance and Project engineers

Your experience

• You will have extensive experience working in automated manufacturing facilities in a senior role.
• You will be supervising or mentoring team member or are ready to do so.
• Have shown the ability to implement Lean Manufacturing principles.
• You will have an eye for continuous improvement and process implementation
