Community Care Worker

Role Overview

Litmus Care is seeking compassionate individuals to join its team as Community Care Workers. This role involves providing person‑centred care to children and adults in their homes and communities, supporting independence and dignity.

• Job Type: Permanent
• Schedule: Full-Time, Part-Time, or Bank (includes alternate weekends)
• Work Setting: On-site only
• Pay Rate: £12.60 – £12.75 per hour

• Assist clients with personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
• Support household tasks including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
• Administer and manage medications
• Encourage independence and community engagement
  
  Perform errands such as shopping, mailing packages, and collecting prescriptions

Essential:

• Valid UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle
• Genuine interest in helping others
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check (or be registered with the update service)

Desirable:

• Previous care experience (not required)
• Experience supporting individuals with dementia, disabilities, or mental health conditions
